Fleece & Yarn
Shetland Fleeces
We sheared our Shetlands this week and I’ve skirted all the fleeces and rolled them loosely. The wet winter hasn’t harmed them at all and they are all soft and lovely and quite clean of debris. They are in my stable arranged in colours with each fleece labelled with the sheep’s name.
I can’t make the June meeting so people are very welcome to come here,(near Tunbridge Wells) meet the ewes and lambs and select their fleece or I can bring fleeces to the July meeting. All fleeces free from spray markings and chemicals and from a small flock reared sustainably on natural pasture.

Teeswater Fleeces
My small Teeswater flock are registered pedigrees and are kept on my family’s Organic Farm in East Yorkshire.
Teeswaters are a longwool rare breed sheep native to Britain. The fleece has a lovely long fine curly staple with plenty of lustre.
